We can’t believe 2014 is already almost over! But, since it is, we can’t pass up the opportunity to make a list of this year’s worst-dressed celebrities. Several celebs fell victim to cringe-worthy pieces styled in equally inappropriate ways.
Some are red carpet veterans, while others are novices who tried their hand at becoming fashion-forward but failed miserably. Who do you think was the worst dressed celebrity of 2014?
1. Pixie Lott in Gag-Inducing Dress
First up? British singer Pixie Lott in a gag-inducing, saccharine pink dress. We don’t even know if this costume can be labeled as a dress. The most offensive part is the glittery heart detail that drew attention to the singer’s nether region. Tacky!

Leather, metallic and leopard-print fur in one outfit? No. Just no!

3. Shailene Woodley in Matronly Brown Dress
We can’t stop staring at this dress — but not for a good reason. The gravel-like bodice, the ugly inverted V at the middle, and the matronly brown sheer details – Shailene Woodley looked like she was dressed by some blind woodland creatures.

4. Lena Dunham’s Red Carpet Failures
We’re always up for bright outfits, but this mermaid-inspired dress just fell flat. The dress didn’t do anything to flatter Lena’s voluptuous figure.
However, the yellow frock was a far better sight than her previous pink cotton candy-esque look, which was probably best suited to someone half her age.

But, there’s a silver lining! Lena Dunham has hired Nastygal’s Sophia Amoruso as a stylist for her bookstore! We’re hoping the high street brand founder keeps her away from every worst-dressed list on the Internet.

5. Katie Holmes in Eyesore Dress
Katie Holmes looked like she came from a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ stage play and had a few drinks with friends before heading straight to this fashion event! The dress is an eyesore and her hair could have used a bit of combing.

We get it, the MTV VMAs routinely push the boundaries of fashion. But did Amber Rose have to leave her clothes behind in favor of this chain ensemble?

7. Mayim Bialik in Unflattering Dress
We can’t decide which part of this dress is more offensive – the unflattering shape or the overwhelming lavender silk skirt? It looks like Mayim Bialik is equally confused.

We’re having some serious trouble figuring out what that circular contraption on Rosario Dawson’s lace top is. It looks like a giant dispenser, spewing out pleated fabric. Either way, we’ll pass.

10. Caroline Flack in Tacky Ill-Fitting Skirt
It’s hard to get the LBD look wrong. But, when you get it wrong — you get is so wrong. The point of an LBD is to be understated, classic, and sexy.
Caroline Flack missed the mark by donning this horrendous dress with an ill-fitting skirt and a tacky ruffled detailing.

12. Rita Ora in Tinfoil-Wrapped Burrito Outfit
We don’t think we need to explain why Rita Ora’s neck-to-toe metallic ensemble made it on this list. This outfit made us crave a tinfoil-wrapped burrito, though.

13. Julianne Moore in Ivory Silk Cloque Draped Dress
The red carpet veteran is usually on-point, but this outfit was an exception. It would actually look better if the waist area was a little more nipped-in and the designer did away with the shoulder draping. That being said, we love the Gianvito Rossi ‘Carey’ heels.
