We’ve described many dresses as “electrifying” but this is the first one that is literally so.
To help celebrate the launch of EE (Everything Everywhere), UK’s first 4G mobile network, Nicole Scherzinger wore the world’s first ever live Twitter dress. She was no doubt dressed for the occasion and in accordance with the hi-tech theme of the event.

The semi-sheer black chiffon gown by CuteCircuit is bedecked not only with over 3,000 Swarovski crystals but also over 2,000 LED lights. The skirt panel displayed a live feed of Tweets sent in by those who tweeted @EE and the hashtag #tweetthedress.
We couldn’t really make out any of the tweets sent in any of Nicole Scherzinger’s pictures but perhaps that’s for the best because you can just imagine how something interactive like this can lead to hilarious, scandalous or even disastrous results in the blink of an eye.
This is about as much as you can read of the Tweets on Nicole Scherzinger’s dress:

In case you’re wondering, the battery-charged dress is rechargeable via USB.
Do you think light-up dresses will be a thing in the future or remain a novelty fad?
