Naturally, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTA) would have a tea party prior to the main event itself. Here, nominees, hosts, and all other important names in the film and television industry come together to rub elbows and, we imagine, drink tea.
This year, we note 3 remarkable dresses from 3 distinct actresses in the biz. No frills here, just your elegant and classic tea-length skirts and dresses.
1. Alice Eve in a little black dress
Alice Eve’s appearance at the 2013 BAFTA Tea Party in a pine green Burberry Prorsum gown was met with such criticism. Not because it was ugly, but because Gemma Arterton wore the same dress weeks before. Fortunately, her outfit this year seems to be a lot better, if not safe. Her tea-length little black dress is classic, and so far, nobody seems to think it had been worn earlier by another celebrity. Her hair and her shoes still needed a little work, though.

2. Sandra Bullock in Burberry Prorsum
Gorgeous and stylish as always, Best Actress nominee Sandra Bullock (Gravity) impressed us with her two-piece outfit composed of a Burberry Prorsum pre-fall 2014 printed t-shirt and a jacquard pencil skirt in a gorgeous green. Her slightly undone hair and dainty jewelry matched the trendy outfit really well.

3. Cate Blanchett in Michael Kors
Name one time that Cate Blanchett was ever in the worst-dressed list. I don’t think it’s possible for this classically beautiful and fashionable woman. The Best Actress nominee (Blue Jasmine) showed up in a bright red cap-sleeved button dress, artfully cinched at the waist with a brown leather belt. Bellissima! And her azure pumps made a really striking accessory.
