While not as star-studded as the other prestigious award shows, this year’s Tony Awards kept the red carpet interesting with a string of celebrities in their fabulous and elegant frocks.

It’s intriguing that most people opted for elegant, fully-covered gowns that matched the event’s classy theme.

To us, these are the seven celebrities who appeared in their prettiest:

1. Jennifer Lopez in Valentino

The 45-year-old donned a gorgeous, strapless Valentino Spring 2015 couture gown that she styled with a gold-toned clutch. Jennifer’s retro hairstyle and make-up suited the dress to perfection.

The High School Musical alum impressed in a Naeem Khan Spring 2015 pansy print halter gown that she styled with a Rodo crystal-covered tube clutch. Vanessa then styled her hair in milkmaid braids and donned minimal accessories and make-up.

3. Amanda Seyfried in Oscar de la Renta

The 23-year-old was a vision in a gilded Oscar de la Renta Fall 2015 cocktail dress that boasted an off-the-shoulder top and fit-and-flare structure. We approve of her heavy eye makeup and Christian Louboutin’s “Maltaise” pumps.

4. Kelli O’Hara in Oscar de la Renta

The Broadway actress was not just a big winner that night (she bagged the Best Actress award). She was also a big winner on the red carpet in this ethereal Oscar de la Renta lace gown.

These layers and layers of ombre fabric are a creation of Naeem Khan. The actress has already won the Tony Awards twice for Best Actress in a Musical and has been nominated four times for the same category.

The svelte model, who celebrated her 24th birthday the same day, was decked out in royal blue in this Marc Jacobs halter neck gown. We also love the drop earrings and the updo.

This Givenchy dress may not be as glitzy and glamorous as the other dresses, but it’s just as stunning. The slitted front and the one-shoulder structure have helped elevate it to red carpet status.
