At last Tuesday’s 2012 Telva Fashion Awards in Madrid, designer Stella McCartney proved that she herself is a great brand ambassador for her own clothing label.

She not only looked gorgeous in a head-to-toe look from her Fall 2012 collection but also looked like she was having lots of fun wearing it. The daughter of former Beatles member Paul McCartney coyly smiled for the cameras and looked flirty in her long-sleeved mini dress with a short flounce skirt:

Stella McCartney finished her look with a pulled back hairdo, barely there makeup and Stella McCartney crocodile-embossed platform pumps.

The fact that Stella McCartney won Best International Designer at the awards show certainly must’ve added to her glowing aura, but we can’t discount the fact that THE dress truly is flattering. It’s this wetsuit-inspired hand-woven cotton silk ‘Milly’ dress from, like we said, the Stella McCartney Fall 2012 collection:

The kick out hem and the pleats at the neckline offset the sporty scuba vibe of the dress.

Make this your next (very expensive) dress at Browns Fashion. A grey, brown and blue version can be found at Saks Fifth Avenue.

For dress options that get the look without the sticker shock, here are a couple from Theory and Sachin + Babi:
