Leave it to Mel Gibson to stir up more controversy. This time, the online firestorm started after the director arrived at the 89th annual Academy Awards with Rosalind Ross, his 35-year-younger partner.
Mel was nominated for “Best Director” due to his work on “Hacksaw Ridge,” prompting the red carpet stroll from the pair. The two left their month-old child at home in order to make it out for the event.
Rosalind and Mel stopped by for a quick chat with Mario Lopez on the red carpet. Mel talked about working on a new film and gushed about Rosalind’s post-baby body.
The 26-year-old screenwriter gave birth to Lars Gerard Gibson just five weeks before the event. She showed off her enviable figure in an ethereal blue gown, while Mel donned a Giorgio Armani suit.
Rosalind looked radiant in her floor-length powder blue gown, which featured a strapless neckline and a boned bodice. The former equestrian vaulter styled her jacquard floral dress with an envelope clutch in a matching powder blue hue. Rosalind completed her look with a braided updo, soft pink lips and jewelry from Bulgari.
