I can’t say I’m a huge fan of Rita Ora’s fashion sense, but I do love her music. Plus, she does occasionally pull looks that are elegant enough to surprise you. Most often than not however, I find her quite entertaining to watch. She reminds me a little of Rihanna mixed with a bit of Gwen Stefani, especially when she wears pieces that are completely overboard.
Take for example, the frou-frou multicolored frock she wore to the MOBO Awards held just a few days ago. The dress, reportedly by Alexander McQueen, featured layers and layers of tulle fashioned with floral appliqué all over. It’s not exactly what you’d call understated or sophisticated, but somehow, she managed to pull it off without looking overly theatrical.

How do you like Rita’s Alexander McQueen dress? Do you think it suits her? Does she look fabulous in it, or a total fail? I say she looks very much like… well, Rita. Besides, she wouldn’t be such a phenom without her unconventional way of dressing.
We can’t find Rita’s dress online, but if you’re feeling the frou frou costume-inspired style and you can afford a McQueen, consider these creations:
Alexander McQueen Embroidered Silk Tulle Off Shoulder Gown, GBP9795 / Alexander McQueen Feather Trimmed Floral Brocade Dress, GBP13995
On the other hand, if it’s wearable pieces you’re after, you can go for these beautifully printed floral dresses from McQueen instead. These retail much less (though still pricey) than the couture gowns and will definitely last you through seasons:
