Dress labels are really churning out Kate Middleton and Pippa Middleton dress replicas now.
We just featured the imitations from Faviana a little over a week ago and now, we’ve got some brand new arrivals from ABS Allen Schwartz!
I guess they really want to take advantage of the weddings happening this September through December; fall/winter, after all, is the second most popular season for weddings after summer.
So how do you think these replicas look this time? Check ’em out:
Kate lace bodice long sleeve wedding gown with removable bustle and train, $1,110.00
At $1,110.00, this Kate Middleton dress knockoff from ABS Allen Schwartz is definitely much more expensive than the one from Faviana (which is $498.00).
But it does have features that more closely resemble the original, such as the lace-trimmed bottom and the full flared-at-the-hip ballroom skirt.
It also comes with a bustle and train which are much shorter than the original, but nonetheless make this replica complete. You can even remove them if you want to; doing so instantly makes this dress wedding reception-ready.
Now here’s Pippa’s dress:
Pippa cap sleeve cowl neck gown, $400.00
This dress’s $400.00 tag puts it in the same price range as the one from Faviana. This one doesn’t flare out at the bottom like the real dress but skims the body and the legs more closely.
A scathing review of this dress over at Zappos also said that this doesn’t have zipper or button openings whatsoever so you’re supposed to pull it over your head like a t-shirt.
Such a shame really. This would’ve been such a nice bridesmaid dress especially since there are these other colors to choose from:
ABS Allen Schwartz Pippa gown in black, crimson and sapphire
You can find both the Kate Middleton dress and the Pippa Middleton dress in all of its colors at Bloomingdale’s. The Kate and the Pippa dress in white are also available at Amazon for the same price.
I’m no Royal Wedding history buff, but I think this is the first time the bridesmaid dress received as much attention as the wedding dress itself. Now, we wonder who’s going to be next to come out with their versions of these much-copied dresses?
