We here on Your Next Dress honestly don’t see what the big deal is. Yes, Julia Roberts’ character is a prostitute in Pretty Woman, but that’s one of the last things you’ll remember about the movie. And pretty much everyone knows who Miley Cyrus is — who’s going to think she’s a hooker?
Miley also wore the dress to go out partying at a club, which is the most appropriate event and place for it. Julia Roberts, on the other hand, wore it as part of her wardrobe in the movie. You can see a bit of the dress and a whole lot of Julia Roberts’ tiny waist in this PR photo:
