One of the biggest trends we have seen on the red carpet this year is the leg veil dress. Virtually everyone has taken a shot at wearing this trend, but not all pulled it off successfully. Someday, we’ll probably want to forget this trend ever existed, but right now some ladies are rocking leg veil dresses well enough for us to want to see them stick around.

But what about you ladies? What is your stand on the increasingly popular leg veil dress? Do you think it is absolutely edgy or downright tacky?

For you to decide better, let’s take a look at some of the celebrities who have worn this trend:

LACMA 2013 Art and Film GalaNicole Richie at the LACMA 2013 Art and Film Gala honoring Martin Scorsese and David Hockney presented by Gucci in Los Angeles on November 3, 2013

Nicole Richie was the image of perfection at the recently concluded LACMA 2013 Art and Film Gala. Her Dolce & Gabbana leg veil dress was exquisitely made. We are not too crazy about the hairstyle, but we think she looked gorgeous in this gown.

The Pride of Britain Awards 2013Pixie Lott at the Pride of Britain Awards 2013 in London on October 7, 2013

One of our favorite leg veil dress looks is this one from Pixie Lott. Her Yuvna Kim dress was exciting and whimsical. She brought a different kind of sexy to the red carpet that night.

65th Annual Primetime Emmy AwardsLena Headey at the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on September 22, 2013

It looks like Lena Headey was channeling her Game of Thrones character, Cersei, in this Alessandra Rich dress. She could easily pass herself off as a queen. Although the dress bared more leg than we’d care for in a red carpet dress, she actually pulled it off elegantly.

The Weinstein Company's 2013 Golden Globe Awards Party

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton HotelKerry Washington at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills on January 13, 2013

Kerry Washington was among the first to wear this trend on the red carpet. Her Miu Miu dress had a simpler cut and silhouette, but it definitely boasted fine embellishments. Kerry’s pared-down styling made the dress look extra classy.

70th Annual Golden Globe AwardsRachel Weisz at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills on January 13, 2013

Rachel Weisz put the other ladies in attendance at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards to shame, and that is no easy feat! She owes part of the look’s success to her Louis Vuitton polka-dot overlay gown.

2013 Billboard Music AwardsJennifer Morrison at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 19, 2013

Jennifer took a risk at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards when she walked down the blue carpet wearing a see-through Kristian Aadnevik dress. The dress easily resembled something you would wear on your honeymoon and flaunted Jennifer’s toned body. We aren’t that crazy about how much skin the dress exposed (especially from the back), but we think Jennifer looked gorgeous in it.

So, what are your thoughts on the leg veil dress? Does this trend deserve a quick death?
