Laverne Cox graced the red carpet of the Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 10, in Beverly Hills, California.
This was her first Golden Globes appearance, and what a memorable appearance it was. A vision in white, this talented young actress made it clear that this show was merely the first of many.
The 31-year-old star was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the popular Netflix series, ‘Orange is the New Black’. For her glamorous ensemble, Cox went with a custom-made white Elizabeth Kennedy gown that made her look as if she were born for red carpet events.

The custom Elizabeth Kennedy gown looks regal and demure from the front, with a high boat neck collar and thick straps. Surprisingly, the back of the gown opens up in a deep V from the top of the collar to the lower back, exposing Cox’s toned backside. A fishtail train completes the graceful design of the gown, and had Cox looking fit for her wedding day.

The LGBT advocate styled her all-white gown with a perfect pop of jewel toned colors. She wore large emerald Lorraine Schwartz chandalier earrings and a matching chunky silver and green bracelet. Adding to the color scheme, she toted a futuristic-looking Nathalie Trad geometric silver clutch with green detailing, and painted her fingernails a similar shade of jade. Her makeup was also on point: silvery eye shadow, thick black liner, and a sultry dark red lipstick. Cox pulled her wavy locks back to a low and messy side bun to complete the look.
We absolutely love this look on Laverne. White is definitely one of the many colors she can pull off, and she proved it flawlessly during her first appearance on the Golden Globe Awards’ red carpet.
