The best place to spot new trends has always been on the runways of fashion week. This is the best time to preview the freshest collections and, of course, we also see trends that we can look forward to in the next seasons. Last year’s runway shows for spring/summer 2016 had re-emerging styles that were all too familiar.
One recurring trend for spring and summer seems to be the sexy shoulder, which we just can’t get enough of. We’re really feeling hints of skin that aren’t too overbearing. Spring calls for subtle sexiness — showing off just the right amount while still feeling comfortable in what you’re wearing.
When rocking this trend, make sure to keep it simple. Focus on showing off the shoulders and collarbone, which will also highlight the face. Avoid revealing too much skin and go for a more subtle feel. This means that cleavage and legs should be covered up. Finish the look with a messy updo to lengthen the line of the neck and add spice to the outfit.
