We’re pretty firm believers that someone can wear pretty much anything as long as he or she feels confident in it. Joined by her husband Taylor Hackford at the 2016 Museum of Modern Art Garden Party, Helen Mirren proved our case.

But there are times when it’s easy to step over the fine line between looking confident and looking gaudy. So while a mini bodycon dress might look great on someone in their 20s, it’s probably not as ideal for someone in their 50’s or 60’s.

But, there are dresses with ageless silhouettes that fit for just about any age bracket.

We think the tea-length dress should be given that recognition.

Case in point: Helen Mirren’s floral tea-length frock at The Museum of Modern Art’s Party. She was joined by her husband, Taylor Edwin Hackford, an American film director and former president of the Directors Guild of America.

Mirren married Taylor Hackford on December 31, 1997, after dating just over 10 years. Best known for Ray (2004), Blood In, Blood Out (1993) and Dolores Claiborne (1995), he has a net worth of $30 million.

We just love this dress on the 70-year-old actress. The floral print is simple enough, the fit and flare silhouette gave a youthful vibe to this look, and the tea-length added sophistication.

We especially love the pink cardigan. The veteran actress looked great in this dress, but we think it’s a dress that can also work for someone younger – even a teenager.

We can’t find the make of the dress, but check out the following midi floral alternatives from Shopbop.

It’s safe to say these dresses will never go out of style. We think they’re worth the investment — there’s a good chance they’ll be a staple in your wardrobe for years to come.
