In February 2013, Halle Berry brought her sexy back at the Chicago premiere of the 2013 American psychological crime thriller film The Call.
She showed up wearing a black cold-shoulder dress by Helmut Lang and sandals by Brian Atwood.
Her hairstyle, a pixie cut, has been sported by many celebrities such as Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, and Ginnifer Goodwin, but Berry’s version is unique and iconic.

The premiere was held at the Showplace Icon Theater. Halle was joined at the premiere by her co-star Morris Chestnut, who portrays her boyfriend in the film, Officer Paul Phillips.
The film is about a 911 operator who answers a call from an abducted girl, played by Abigail Breslin. The idea for the film, which is not based on a true story, came to screenwriter Richard D’Ovidio when his wife watched an interview with a 911 operator on television.
To research the subject, he visited the Los Angeles Metropolitan Communications Dispatch Center and was surprised to discover that it had its own backup generators, bulletproof windows, and a moat.

To save the 15-year-old Leah Templeton, Halle’s character must come to terms with a dark place in her past. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film was a box office success.
In preparation for her role, Halle Berry spent time observing 911 operators at a call center and found their job emotionally taxing. She was originally cast as the lead in the project, with Joel Schumacher as the director.

However, Schumacher left the project and was replaced by Brad Anderson. Due to scheduling conflicts, Berry also dropped out of the project, but when the filming schedule was moved up, she could return and reprise her role as the lead.
Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin also starred together in the romantic comedy film “New Year’s Eve,” which was released in 2011.
