Gina Rodriguez proves that she is a sweetheart both on-screen and off-screen in her latest exchange with a fan on social media.
A high school teener named Jessica Casanova contacted the Jane the Virgin star, saying that she would love to wear her Golden Globes dress to prom. Gina responded by asking where she lives, offered to lend her Golden Globes dress from last year, and basically made the teen’s prom dress dreams come true!
Where do you live? I only own my first globes dress the one from last year…maybe we can make this happen 💃🏽 https://t.co/m16qdYETgF

The dress that Jessica Casanova originally wanted was this blue Zac Posen off-shoulder gown that Gina wore to the 2016 Golden Globes Awards earlier this month:

As most red carpet gowns are loaners, Gina did not have that particular gown in her possession. What she does have is this Badgley Mischka strapless gown that she won her “Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series” award in:

If you ask us, the Badgley Mischka is definitely a much better choice, and Jessica is so lucky to be able to wear it!
There’s no need to ask celebrities for their gowns — the internet has got plenty of dresses that are both wallet-friendly and red-carpet-worthy. Check out the black strapless dresses that are all under $200 that we found for your below.
