Since animal prints like reptile, crocodile and leopard are all the rage now, we knew this was bound to happen sooner rather than later: embossed, raised and textured animal prints on women’s dresses.
Check out the two culprits, I mean, dresses:
M Missoni Crocodile Intarsia Mini Dress
Nightcap Clothing Victorian Lace Dress
The first one is a creation from the knit fabric master, the Italian fashion house of Missoni. The dress was made using a special kind of knitting technique called intarsia which allows for differently-colored patterns on the fabric and is also responsible for the croc-skin feel of the dress. Mmm, nothing like the feel of crocodile caressing your skin.
The second dress from Nightcap Clothing is essentially just a lace dress, but because of the overlapping pattern and the scalloped edges, it looks more like fish scales than, well, lace. I usually shun sexy lace for something more edgy but maybe trading it in for fish scales isn’t such a good deal.
So would you be willing to feel like a crocodile or feel like a fish for the sake of fashion?
I admit I do find the fish scale dress sexy but the M Missoni dress would feel like I was suffering from some skin disease.
