And so we continue the Met Ball fever. Many stars dressed in their own interpretations of punk, which was the theme of this year’s Met Gala. However, some completely ignored it and went with completely different outfits. Who do you think was the best dressed?
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Gucci Fall 2013 Gown
The always beautiful and sexy-looking English model was a little seductive in her Gucci gown, which features a sheer netted bodice with fringe-like embellishments that appear as a vest to cover her private parts. While the top is revealing, the skirt remains elegant in metallic satin. Although not really a punk outfit, the dress did not fail to turn heads Rosie’s way.

Beyonce in Givenchy Gown
Stepping out as the honorary chair at the event, Beyonce made sure that she was on fire. Well, seriously, she was like emerging from flames in her Givenchy ensemble. The gown has a croc bodice and a black skirt designed with a golden damask that appears like flames! She also wore gloves with a matching damask print as well as matching knee-high boots. However, we see no punk here except for the belt. This definitely was not one of her best looks.

Jennifer Lopez in Michael Kors Gown
Seductive and fierce was J.Lo’s look for the night. Although her tight-fitting leopard-print gown wasn’t punk, she looked sexy in it. How can you not love her punk-styled hair? Her hairdo and smoky makeup contributed to making this one of the fiercest outfits of the evening.

Miranda Kerr in Michael Kors Gown
Like J.Lo, Miranda Kerr wore a sexy Michael Kors gown. The piece was perfect for her, showing off her tiny but sexy frame as well as her toned abs. Her side-swept hair with braids and her accessories, including a spiked Louboutin clutch, gave a nod to punk.

Rooney Mara in Givenchy Couture Gown
Rooney Mara was one of the best dressed at the event, although it was only her extremely dark lip shade that screamed punk. She did not embrace the theme, but her Givenchy gown was beautiful and fit her right. It’s a very feminine lace gown with very edgy zippers and extra laces over the shoulders — a mix of edge and modern flair.

Gwen Stefani in Maison Martin Margiela Gown
We all know that Gwen Stefani loves punk. However, she kept it minimal at the Met Gala. She donned a black-and-white outfit that features a midriff-baring bodice tied into a bow.

Rita Ora in Thakoon Dress
The ever so bold and daring Rita Ora toned things down this time despite the theme of the night being more her style. She still looked amazing in a Thakoon dress featuring an asymmetrical top and gold chain details, though. Gold accessories and a red lip shade punctuated her look.

Blake Lively in Gucci Gown
Blake Lively just won’t go punk, agree? We usually see her in high-fashion ensembles on the red carpet, and she kept to that at the Met Gala. Her gown, though not theme-appropriate, was absolutely gorgeous. While the top was plain, the skirt showed a lot of drama with all those feathers.

Kirsten Dunst in Louis Vuitton Gown
Can you imagine the demure Kirsten Dunst going punk? Well, she didn’t do it at the ball. Instead, she chose to go daring. Her Louis Vuitton gown was totally revealing with its open back and a halter front that exposed her front cleavage and side boobs. The feathery skirt was interesting, bordering on tacky.

Nina Dobrev in Monique Lhuillier Outfit
Another sexy punk of the night was Nina Dobrev in a Monique Lhuillier creation. Nina donned a laced jumpsuit with a black leather detail for the top and a tulle skirt that made her look fierce! Although it was not full-on punk, it was suggestive enough of the said theme.
