The ladies below prove that you can never go wrong with black, especially during red carpet events. At the premiere of ‘Money Monster’ on the second day of the Cannes Film Festival, we spotted three gorgeous beauties who donned classic black gowns that exuded glamour and sophistication.
Julia Roberts
Julia Roberts looked every bit the glamorous actress in her Armani Prive gown, which featured a draped off shoulder neckline, ruched detailing and a flowing floor-length skirt. The 48-year-old star, who was all smiles on the red carpet, accessorized with a jaw-dropping Chopard necklace with a huge emerald stone.
At one point, Julia removed her shoes and made a strong statement by going barefoot on the red carpet. This act was a protest to the Cannes “Flatgate” controversy last year, where some women were shunned for not wearing heels to the event.

Eva Longoria
The gorgeous Eva Longoria showed off her Latina curves in a figure-hugging Pamella Roland black gown with a strapless neckline and mermaid silhouette that accentuated herĀ enviable physique. The glamorous dress featured some heavy embellishments on the bodice and back, adding a little bit of twist to the classic look. Eva finished with the look with sexy curls and a beautiful Messika diamond necklace.

Susan Sarandon
At 69 years old, Susan Sarandon is still turning heads. The Thelma and Louise star rocked a black tuxedo dress that showed major cleavage and a lot of leg too. This might have been too much skin for others but Susan surprisingly still pulls off the daring look. She accessorized with a cool pair of sunglasses and loads of gold jewelry.
