The New York Film Festival gave tribute to award-winning actress Cate Blanchett for her significant work in the film industry. The Australian star is definitely deserving of the gala tribute, with her remarkable credentials and experience in acting.
But her Hollywood career is not the only thing the public reveres, her red-carpet looks are also often anticipated and celebrated. This latest look, however, was a little underwhelming for someone who can easily pull off bold, fashion-forward ensembles.

Cate donned a custom-made Armani Prive lace frock in nude with matching pointy-toe pumps from Roger Vivier. The 44-year-old actress completed the ensemble with Van Cleef & Arpels earrings. Against her porcelain skin, the gorgeous dress seemed invisible. This pale look was hot on the runway, but it was too pasty and light against Cate’s ashen skin. Do you agree?
