One dress, two different ladies coming from two different industries. Who do you think would win the battle of “Who Wore the Dress Better”? Will it be the blogger, the one who, by profession, is more sartorially adept and more inclined to take fashion risks? Or will it be the celebrity, with her army of stylists and cornucopia of designer clothes?
Check out these celebrities wearing the same clothing as bloggers and teen woldus decide which one did the dress more justice:
1. Lucy Liu versus Kylee from Kyleedell
The Dress: Self Portrait Tiered Guipure Lace Mini Dress
Lucy Liu at the DreamWorks Animation and Twentieth Century Fox present the world premiere of ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ in California on January 16, 2016
The 47-year-old slashed years off her age in this tiered lace number that she wore with a pair of Neil J. Rodgers “Isabella” Mary Jane pumps and bright red clutch.
Kylee Snelgrove from Kyleedell
Kylee, on the other hand, opted for Raye x Revolve Carrie Heel for her footwear and accessorized with a pair of sunglasses.
We love both choices of footwear. We think both ladies wore this dress to perfection.
2. Rita Ora versus Kristina Bazan from Kayture
The Dress: Versace Fall 2015 Dress
Rita Ora arrives at Event City, Trafford Park for the X Factor Auditions in Manchester on July 7, 2015
The pop singer wore a striking red dress from the Versace Fall 2015 collection. The dress was worn with a thick red belt and Rita styled it with killer red thigh-high boots.
Kristina Bazan at Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2016 – Versace in Paris on January 24, 2016
Kristina Bazan, who blogs over at Kayture, attended Versace S/S 2016 runway show wearing the exact same dress. Unlike Rita, she went without the belt and opted for a pair of black knee-high boots instead. The blogger wore an updo and accessorized with a chain-strapped bag.
We’re leaning more towards Rita’s styling on this one although both ladies looked amazing in the dress.
3. Jennifer Lawrence versus Chiara Ferragni from The Blonde Salad
The Dress: Dior
Jennifer Lawrence arriving at the Majestic Hotel in France on May 17, 2014
The actress wore this Dior dress back in 2014 when she was still sporting a very short hairdo. She styled the dress with thin-strapped sandals.
Chiara Ferragni attends the Los Angeles premiere of The Orchard’s DIOR & I at LACMA
The power blogger wore the exact same dress recently but shook things up with a pair of purple glitter pumps.
We appreciate a good risk but we think the purple pumps didn’t go so well with the dress so this round belongs to Jennifer.
4. Holland Roden versus Mayo Wo from Mellow Mayo
The Dress: Self Portrait Lace Dress
Holland Roden at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘She’s Funny That Way’ at Harmony Gold in California on August 19, 2015
The Teen Wolf actress wore this stunning Self Portrait dress with a messy updo, a black clutch and a pair of perspex pumps.
Mayo Wo from Mellow Mayo
Mayo, on the other hand, took it to the next level by adding a wide-brimmed hat and a box bag to her look.
For a photoshoot, we’d go for Mayo’s styling but for red carpet purposes, Holland did alright.
5. Zoe Saldana versus Chiara Ferragni from The Blonde Salad
The Dress: Valentino Lace Dress
Zoe Saldana at the Cannes Film 67th Film Festival in France on May 15, 2014
The 37-year-old took the classic route and wore this dress with ankle-strapped pumps and a chic chignon.
Chiara Ferragni NYFW Day 2 outfit (The Blonde Salad)
Chiara, on the other hand, had a more streetstyle look going on with her Gucci studded loafers and Hermes Kelly bag.
Two very different stylings here but both actually work!
6. Nicky Hilton versus Chriselle Lim from The Chriselle Factor
The Dress: Valentino Striped Dress
Nicky Hilton out in Soho, New York City on September 15, 2015
The heiress teamed up this dress with Valentino studded pumps and a black circle clutch.
Chriselle Lim from The Chriselle Factor in Valentino
Chriselle wore the midi and long-sleeved version of the dress with flats, a coat over her shoulders and matching striped bag.
Sorry Nicky, Chriselle styled this dress better than you.
What do you think? In these outfits, are celebrities or bloggers better-dressed? We really think bloggers can give these celebrities a run for their money.
