As Stacey Bendet’s designs for the Alice + Olivia Fall 2011 collection are mostly made up of sparkly, shimmery and glittery things, we immediately knew credit belonged to her for this fully sequined elbow-sleeved mini dress in glinting gold.
And as soon as we saw the dress on Eva Longoria and on Kelly Clarkson, we also immediately knew that many would compare them, as this is one dress that really makes an impression on the memory.

Eva Longoria teamed her dress with patterned nude peep toe pumps. She finished off her look with a swept-up hairdo, kohl-rimmed eyes and very minimal jewelry.
We spotted Kelly Clarkson in the Alice + Olivia dress next. Kelly Clarkson wore her dress to perform on ‘The X Factor’ UK last Sunday:

Kelly Clarkson literally shone on stage as the sequins on her Alice + Olivia dress caught every light focused on her. The American singer, songwriter, actress and author accessorized her dress with a Gucci spike studded leather belt, black hosiery and black buckled ankle boots with studded detailing on the toes.
This is a very close one for me because each outfit has its pros and cons.
I like the simplicity of Eva Longoria’s look, but I don’t like the aging hairdo, and strappy sandals would’ve been a better footwear choice for her.
Kelly Clarkson’s look exudes a younger vibe, and the edgy accessories are a bold choice. However, the look is a tad bit overdone even if it is meant to be a stage performance outfit.
A very tight competition, but I have to give it to Kelly Clarkson simply because I like her shoes better.
