If you’re an avid Your Next Dress follower who happens to be in the market for a seriously gorgeous dress, and who also happens to be loaded with zillions and zillions of cash, then this post is for you.
Check out this insanely exquisite lovely long number from Alexander McQueen – the embroidered silk faille and organza gown:
Alexander McQueen Embroidered Silk Faille and Organza Dress, $28,950
What a beauty, yes?
It’s completely breathtaking and we are head over heels in love with it. It is also very McQueen; true to the late designer’s signature style.
Aside from the layers and layers of bias-cut organza that make up the skirt, the gown features an intricately embroidered bodice that can only be described as magnificent.
You really won’t need a lot of help to stand out in this dress because it’s already quite the showstopper. Earrings, a clutch, and some heels would be enough.
Unfortunately (for most of us), only a millionaire can afford this McQueen masterpiece. You see, this couture creation retails at a whopping $28,950!!! It also only comes in two sizes – IT 40 and 42 (equivalent to XS and S), so you will have to be slim and slender to fit right into it.
There’s no doubt that every girl, woman, or lady would want to wear this dress, but the real question is, would anyone who’s not a celebrity or moneyed socialite be willing to spend on it?
We actually made an attempt to search for a look-alike hoping to satiate our McQueen fix, but as expected, none came even remotely close to such gorgeousness. Although if you insist, you can try grabbing this vintage-inspired, embroidered lace dress.
It retails at a more achievable $458. And if you don’t mind spending a little more, what you can do is grab several yards of black organza fabric and have your seamstress change the skirt into layers and layers of organza to achieve the look.
