Fashion always revolves. One moment, something is “so passé,” and then it will become a super hot trend again the next year. One of the biggest trends that has made a comeback today is the ’90s style. Familiar trends from our childhood and teenage years — from chokers to slip dresses — are taking over the fashion world again.

1. Florals

Although floral prints have long been used in dresses, there’s a particular floral pattern that is totally reminiscent of the ’90s era. Done with simple and small floral patterns with a breezy dress silhouette, these dresses are perfect for casual days out.

Patterns like plaid and flannel were pretty big during the grunge era. This look is starting to gain more popularity again and is used in several dress styles. Aside from the checked pattern, the gingham look is also a hot trend of the season.

3. Slips and camis

Who can forget this super hot trend? Every “It” girl of the ’90s, from Alicia Silverstone to Kate Moss, wore this to their public events. Now, the slip dress has become the go-to sexy dress for red carpet events. It has that simple and effortlessly sexy silhouette that just stands out, especially when styled with minimal accessories.

4. Denim

Denim was one of the biggest closet staples of the ’90s era. The then pop queen Britney Spears wore head-to-toe denim to the VMAs with Justin Timberlake. Who could forget that epic moment? Now, trendsetters, including Alexa Chung and the Jenner-Kardashians, have all been spotted wearing denim on their casual events and off-duty days.

5. Halters

The halter neckline is another hot trend that resurfaced on and off the red carpets. Aside from the emphasis on the shoulders, this trend also often comes with sexy low backs. There have been many renditions of the halter neckline, and we love all of them, from dressier red-carpet options to really cool ’90s-style casual wear.
