The TV and fashion industries are slowly opening their doors to different kinds of beauty, including transgender celebrities. Some parts of the world, it seems, are finally more accepting of the unconventional — from plus-size models to trans-woman stars.

Here are five transgender women in TV and fashion who all have great styles:

1. Andreja Pejic

Born Andrej Pejic, this Australian model walked for the runways of Jean Paul Gaultier and became the symbol for fashion androgyny on the catwalk because of her look. After a reassignment surgery in 2014, Andreja publicly came out as a transgender woman and continued her modeling career. She recently landed a major contract with MAKE UP FOR EVER, making her the first-ever trans model to be the face of a beauty campaign.

2. Laverne Cox

Laverne Cox of ‘Orange Is the New Black’ has become the face of transgender women in TV shows with her portrayal of Sophia Burset. She is an advocate of the transgender community and is often very outspoken about her views. When it comes to style, Laverne prefers classic dresses and gowns on the red carpet.

4. Isis King

Isis King’s claim to fame was her stint on America’s Next Top Model. She may not have won in the show, but her modeling career skyrocketed after she left. Because of her ANTM experience, Isis remains to be one of the few trans women who have had great TV exposure. Isis now models for an array of big fashion brands, including American Apparel.

5. Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, nearly broke the Internet when she finally came out on the cover of Vanity Fair. The 65-year-old reality star and former Olympian earned major praises from the public for her brave decision to be her true self. It seems like everyone else is loving her new style, too. While the old Bruce may not be all that fashionable, Caitlyn is definitely one stylish lady!
