We’ve had a resurgence of old fashion these last few seasons. First, it was all about the cool grunge ’90s looks.

Now, the laid-back boho and hippie vibe is taking the spotlight again. The ’70s style is back, and it’s a lot chicer this time around. Check out the following tips on how to rock a modern ’70s look.

1. Bare your sexy shoulders

The off-shoulder dress is one of the most popular styles of the bohemian era, and we love it because of its super flattering silhouette.

Bare shoulders are always sexy regardless of your age, weight, and height. A bare-shoulder dress can be a beautiful and elegant choice for any occasion. Strapless bras or stick-on bras are great options to avoid visible straps.

2. Rock retro prints

This trend is all about bold prints and fierce psychedelic colors. Go for retro prints in bright colorways, and make sure to tone down your accessories if you want to put the focus on your dress.

4. Add fringe details to your wardrobe

Fringe is a surefire way to give your ensemble the ’70s look. Go for mini dresses with a fringed hem or any fringe detail, but avoid going on the full-on fringe. Other ’70s-inspired details include lace-up necklines and small cutout patterns.

5. Accessorize properly

As with any other style trend, it is important to accessorize properly since this can make or break your whole look. Learn to layer your jewelry to keep up with the ’70s trend.

A touch of suede on your shoes or bag will also punctuate your retro outfit even more.
