There are only so many looks that can be pulled off across generations, and actress Jennifer Lopez and child actress Bailee Madison proved that lace is one such look. With 30 years between them, both managed to look equally stunning in their long-sleeved, fit and flare lace dresses. Comparisons are always difficult with such stunning celebrities, and these glamorous ladies didn’t make it any easier for us in their pretty, lacy frocks.

At the special screening of her latest voice acting venture, Home, J-Lo dazzled in a Zuhair Murad light blue mini lace dress and Christian Louboutin crystal-embellished pumps. The effect was fairytale-worthy; a perfect look for a DreamWorks animation screening. Her sparkling icy blue dress and wavy golden locks had us reminiscent of a certain Frozen princess, and even without the crown Lopez shone like royalty on the purple carpet.

Earlier this year, Bailee Madison attended the Hallmark TCA Winter Party in this glamorous royal blue fit and flare frock. The Once Upon a Time star pulled her hair up in a pony, donned a pair of nude-tone sandals, and wore pink lipstick. The effect was a playful, modern twist on the young Snow White image she’s most known for, and she pulled it off well.
From 15 to 45 years old, Lopez and Madison illustrate that this lacy, flared style is an appropriate and winning closet staple for all ages.
