Taylor Swift and Katy Perry‘s friendship dates back to 2008, but the once BFFs are caught in a rift that looks to have no chance of resolving. The feud started around 2012, and while the two deny that it’s because of mutual boy toy John Mayer, many speculate that he was the one who started it all.
Both women are very stylish and have had great success in the pop industry, collecting awards year after year and selling out concerts. But who do you think has better taste in clothes?
1. Street style
Taylor’s signature street style usually involves a crop top, a super short skirt, and a crossbody bag. Her casual looks often end up on our pages because we can’t get enough of her chic girly style. She definitely loves to show off her toned stomach and enviably long legs that go on for days.

While Taylor is girly with her off-duty looks, Katy prefers a little bit of quirk even when she is not on stage. Being the Moschino brand’s muse, she loves wearing the whimsical pieces from the brand. She was spotted wearing an eye-catching Moschino dress paired with equally striking accessories, including a Moschino pump bag. We have to give props to Katy for always being bold with her style choices.

2. On stage
Taylor typically dresses pretty normally during her performances, usually showing off some of her assets, particularly her super long legs. Being one of the featured performers at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last year, Taylor kept up with the models and sexified her style by wearing a silky lingerie dress ensemble.

Katy’s performances are often a lot more fanciful, with several costume changes and themed looks. For one of her Prismatic World Tour shows, she rocked a bedazzled two-piece ensemble that literally lit up on the stage. Most of her costumes were designed and created by Marina Toybina, who was also the designer for Taylor Swift’s Red tour.

3. Red carpet
With a svelte, supermodel frame, it is very easy for Taylor to dress up because she just looks good in everything she wears. At this year’s Grammy Awards, the pop superstar donned a gorgeous Elie Saab Spring 2015 gown. The show-stopping, mullet-style dress features a shimmery ombre look with shoulder cutouts. We love how Taylor kept things playful with a pair of brightly colored magenta sandals and green Lorraine Schwartz earrings.

On the other hand, Katy Perry has a penchant for quirky looks but she definitely cleans up well. One of her best red carpet moments was at the 2014 Grammy Awards, where she wore a stunning Valentino couture gown that was just perfect on her. The tulle gown has a very romantic and glamorous silhouette but is also a little bit whimsical because of the musical note details on the skirt. Adding more glam, Katy finished with chandelier earrings, Louboutin “Bollywood Boulevard” pumps, and an oversized braided bun.
