Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez were spotted in London a few nights ago. No, they didn’t go clubbing. Instead, the two girlfriends went for a nice dinner at Jamie Oliver’s new Italian restaurant in Covent Garden and then for some ice cream. It was all good and clean fun.

Interestingly, the two were dressed alike. Both were in coats, Selena in a black swing coat with a cape and Taylor in a classic khaki version:

I like how they opted to button their coats all the way up and wear them like mini dresses, and I find the look very cute and sexy.

Coats are abundant this season, but don’t limit their use to outerwear. Take a cue from these girls, wear it like a dress, belt it on the waist, pin a brooch to it, and don’t be afraid to try different looks. Here are a couple of coats that can double up as dresses.
