In a series of tweets on Saturday, Taylor Swift spoke out against President Trump and his “calculated dismantling of [the] USPS.”

Amid the pandemic, Trump has been accused of making it harder for voters in the United States to rely on voting by mail to place their votes in the upcoming presidential election.

“Trump’s calculated dismantling of USPS proves one thing clearly: He is WELL AWARE that we do not want him as our president. He’s chosen to blatantly cheat and put millions of Americans’ lives at risk in an effort to hold on to power,” the 30-year-old singer tweeted.

She added, “Donald Trump’s ineffective leadership gravely worsened the crisis that we are in and he is now taking advantage of it to subvert and destroy our right to vote and vote safely. Request a ballot early. Vote early.”

In August 2013, Taylor Swift looked nothing short of va-va-voom at the MTV Video Music Awards held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

While we would have switched up her jewelry and shoes for something more fitting (and, oh, is that a pin glinting at the top of her head?), the singer-songwriter brought her red carpet A-game, going for a dark dress to deviate from her previous sweet looks. Why, hello there, Ms. Swift.

Her look may have been mature, but it seemed Taylor herself still had a lot of growing up to do.

The pop star apparently had not outgrown her very public songs-inspired-by-her-real-life-boys phase as it looked like she still enjoyed having the crowd guess who her latest muse is.

Did we mention her ex was in the audience (hint: he’s from an English-Irish pop boy band)? Oh, Taylor.

We absolutely love Taylor’s gown, which fit her gorgeously. It was one of those dresses that reveal enough skin without making fans nervous over a possible wardrobe malfunction, miraculously staying in place for the entire night.

We love the choice of navy blue because it’s not as serious as black, making it just right for the VMAs, and yet it’s not sweet or ethereal like some of her other looks.
