The young actress, who is 21 years of age, received recognition for her philanthropic endeavors with The Lopez Foundation, which aims to bring lasting change to underprivileged children, adults, and military families facing difficulties in education and health.

It also raises awareness about kidney disease and organ donation, a personal cause for the organization’s founder, comedian George Lopez, who underwent a kidney transplant in 2005.

Sarah Hyland was diagnosed with kidney dysplasia, which resulted in her first kidney transplant surgery in 2012. Unfortunately, her body rejected the transplant, leading to a second transplant procedure in 2017.

She joyously accepted it in this bright, happy, summery floral Zimmermann dress with beautiful draping on the bodice and skirt.

Sarah Hyland accessorized with a Kotur clutch and Brian Atwood’s ‘Lorinna’ sandals, both in electric blue. These shoes brought out the tinges of blue on her dress.

You can only see bits of it from the front, but wait ’til you see the back — the draped t-back style reveals more of the blue color of the draped semi-sheer fabric:

The t-back drape is looped through another piece of fabric at the neck, like how you would loop a long rectangular scarf into itself when you wear it around your neck. These little details make this dress more than just a regular floral dress.
