If you look past Miley Cyrus’ usual shock tactics, the provocative dress she was wearing when she arrived at yesterday’s 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards actually had a peace-promoting message. Featuring a print of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur, the once-was-a-shirt dress by New York Vintage brought East Coast and West Coast rappers together both literally and figuratively. Biggie Smalls and 2Pac were united by a corset-style lace-up at the center. A super-short skirt bound the two, and the powerful statement “please stop the violence” finished the whole hoochie-hippie look.
There just might be more to Miley’s attention-seeking ways than meets the eye!

Miley Cyrus continued her “peace and love” advocacy by smoking weed after accepting an award, or so we like to think. Watch her light up the stage in a very different way:
Even her “Wrecking Ball” performance that night was a lot more subdued, mellow, and toned down compared to her much-talked-about foam finger outburst at 2013 MTV VMAs. She just stood there against a looped video of her crying, and — dare we say it — she sounded good.
Is Miley Cyrus going deeper with her current raunchy ratchet image, or are we giving her too much credit for this? The dress, after all, is a vintage ’90s print. You might even know someone who has a t-shirt with the very same print. However, we don’t recommend cutting up that t-shirt and turning it into a dress because it’s a rare piece!
