Katie Holmes revisited a favorite look for her appearance at the TAO, Beauty & Essex, Avenue and Luchini LA Grand Opening. She donned an embroidered shift dress from Isabel Marant, which she previously wore two years ago. Katie typically opts for a fuss-free approach when it comes to styling. This time, her choices brought out two effortlessly chic looks from the same dress.
The 38-year-old actress and filmmaker wore the “Ren” shift dress from Isabel Marant on two separate events. It featured black silk crepe de Chine and folk-inspired embroidery. This dress was gathered at the shoulders and the raw-edge bib. The front bib detail also had red, saffron, and gold yarns. In addition, it featured a raw-edge split neck and a relaxed fit. It also had three-quarter sleeves, a hidden hook-and-eye closure, and a keyhole detail at the back. Isabel Marant’s “Ren” shift dress is sold out in most stores, but it is currently on sale for $339 at Barneys New York.

The star of “The Kennedys: After Camelot” wore the same dress at a charity event two years ago. Katie donated some of her coats to the One Warm Coat initiative as part of the Glad to Give campaign. For this occasion, Katie styled her Isabel Marant dress with black opaque tights, dewy makeup, a chic ponytail, and black leather boots. She wore the “Gabi” boots from Alexander Wang, which featured grained calfskin leather. These shoes had tapered toes and concealed side zip closures. They also featured stacked cut-out heels with rose gold-tone metal insets. You can purchase these boots for $675 at Barneys New York.
