We love a good fashion rework by an a-list celebrity! Katie Holmes became the most recent outfit repeater as she donned an embroidered shift dress from Isabel Marant for the recent TAO, Beauty & Essex, Avenue, and Luchini LA Grand Opening.

Katie typically opts for a fuss-free approach when it comes to styling, and she somehow managed to combine that fuss-free attitude with one dress for two different looks, two years apart.

The 38-year-old actress and filmmaker wore the “Ren” shift dress from Isabel Marant, which features black silk crepe de Chine and folk-inspired embroidery created with red, saffron, and gold yarn.

For the most recent event, Katie kept her hair and makeup simple, opting for straight tresses and dark pink lips.

The actress styled her dress with a pair of nude “Frontline” sandals from Tamara Mellon, which feature nude leather and transparent PVC.

You can purchase these shoes and a variety of other styles for $395-$425 at Tamara Mellon.

The star of “The Kennedys: After Camelot” wore the same dress at a charity event two years ago, where she donated some of her coats to the One Warm Coat initiative as part of the Glad to Give campaign.

For that occasion, Katie styled her Isabel Marant dress with black opaque tights, dewy makeup, a chic ponytail, and black leather boots.

She wore the “Gabi” boots from Alexander Wang, which featured grained calfskin leather, tapered toes, and concealed side zip closures. They also featured stacked cut-out heels with rose gold-tone metal insets.

What do you think of these two looks from Katie Holmes? Which one was styled better?
