Jessica Alba was in Paris recently to grace a few events at Paris Fashion Week. We learned about the Taiwanese label because the movie actress attended the Shiatzy Chen presentation. Celebrity fans include Kendall Jenner and Michelle Yeoh.

Shiatzy Chen was founded by Wang Chen Tsai-Hsia, a designer ranked by Forbes Magazine as one of the 25 most influential Chinese in global fashion. The designer combines Western techniques for crafting clothes with Eastern aesthetics to create unique but wearable clothing.

Jessica Alba wore a dress by Shiatzy Chen to the label’s Autumn/Winter 2013 presentation.

We didn’t anticipate how difficult it is to find cheongsam or Chinese-inspired dresses. Some cheongsam dresses are sold online, but none are as chic as Jessica’s.

Unfortunately for most of us, Shiatzy Chen’s primary focus is growing its business in the Asian luxury market, so the label is mostly sold in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Macau. Outside of Asia, the brand is sold in France and Switzerland.

For her Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, Wang Chen created dresses in rich tones and textures:
