Supermodel Heidi Klum took body-contouring dresses to the next level with the Roland Mouret dress she wore at the Made in NY Awards on Monday. Those Hervé Léger bandage dresses are so last season. Heidi here schools us on how to wear contouring dresses the edgier way.

The Fall 2013 dress features a sexy, deep v-neck and multicolored animal-print panels. It also has very structured shoulder pads, which make a very edgy and modern silhouette. The side of the dress has white panels that contours the body very well, accentuating a curvy figure but not highlighting it too much.

Heidi did not just win in the style department; she was also one of the recipients of the Made in NY medal — an award to honor individuals who have made a difference in New York’s media or entertainment industry.
