No worries, we assure you that Giada De Laurentiis is mentally stable. Her dress, however, is a different kind of dotty.
Food Network’s darling Italian-American chef, Giada de Laurentiis, hosted the opening night of the 2013 Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival in a darling chambray dress from MARC by Marc Jacobs. “Los Angeles Food & Wine has become one of the most anticipated events of the summer,” shared Giada. “I’m excited to return and cook alongside many of my closest friends, fellow chefs, and some of the most amazing talent I truly admire.”
The youthful-looking 40-year-old also recently broke the news regarding her first restaurant, which is currently undergoing construction and will be opening in Las Vegas sometime next year. Giada uploaded a photo of herself during a site visit, with the caption, “I can finally say it!! My 1st restaurant will open in early 2014 @GansevoortLV! #Vegas, baby!! I can’t wait to share the experience along the way!”

The dress has a retro feel to it, thanks to the fitted-bodice-full-skirt silhouette and polka-dot pattern, and it is modernized by the neon dots, the ribbon detail on the back zipper, and the chambray. The fun neon polka dots make for interesting styling options ranging from ballet flats or sandals in bright hues, chunky colorful necklaces, to satchels in bright neon colors. If you’re looking for a great day-to-night designer dress that won’t break the bank, this just might be the piece for you.
