Be “Annespired”: Everyday Style Inspired by Anne Hathaway’s Met Gala Look

Did you or did you not love that Met Gala red carpet?

Our favorite celebrities certainly did not disappoint when they walked the red carpet at the recently concluded 2013 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City last Monday, May 6.

This year’s theme (“Punk: Chaos to Couture”) aimed to put these usually prim and properly dressed celebs into more street-friendly couture with that undeniable punk attitude.

When I first saw Anne Hathaway’s sheer Valentino number, I had to do a double take: blonde, edgy, and sexy? Could this really be the same girl we all loved in the Princess Diaries?

The answer is a resounding yes! The Les Miserables star was accompanied by none other than Mr. Valentino himself!

And while we can’t all be accompanied by designers as we board the train to go to work, below are some dresses from Nordstrom inspired by Anne’s daring number.
