Emma Roberts: Turning Your Maxi into a Mini

Emma Roberts looked ready to shop till she dropped in West Hollywood last July 2. The We’re the Millers star was seen in a blue polka-dot tank dress, cream-and-orange shoulder bag, and big cat-eye sunnies. Notice that her dress’ skirt was uneven and a little unfinished; could she have cut an old maxi dress and made it into a mini?

If she did, we love it! That’s one way of re-vamping old clothes.

I know you can relate — most of us complain of not having anything to wear while looking at a closet that’s about to burst. An article I’ve read a while back says that when you’re doing some closet editing, consider if the items you don’t wear anymore can be tailored or made into something else. For example, an unflattering dress made into a breezy top, a couple of old pants cut into Capri pants, and jeans tailored to perfection. Voila! New clothes!
