It is timeless and easily the go-to option of many women. The wrap dress is an ingenious creation, flattering on almost all figures, and an easy-to-wear classic choice. It’s hard to believe that this iconic dress is already 40 years old. And although there has been some redesigning in the latest models, the basic silhouette (that we all know and dearly love) has never really changed.

Diane von Furstenberg was only 26 when she came up with the wrap dress, and it instantly became a huge hit, especially for working women who loved the feel and shape of the frock.

The fabulous wrap dress celebrated its 40th year with an exhibit that showcased its journey. Several celebrities joined the celebration, even wearing DvF wrap dresses from different collections.

DVF wrap dresses might be a little pricier than your typical simple frocks. But because of their timelessness, we consider these frocks a no-fail fashion investment. They can easily go from day to night and, on top of that, are unbelievably comfy, too.
