Nobody can wear a dramatic gown quite like Cate Blanchett. The 47-year-old actress makes red carpet looks seem easy to wear when, in truth, these bold dresses are very hard to pull off.

At the IWC Gala in London, Cate was stunning in a Gucci gown pulled straight off the runway.

Cate’s gorgeous monochrome dress was from the Gucci Spring 2017 collection, showcased at the Milan runway barely three weeks ago.

We adore the ruffled top mixed with the sleek black skirt. The red silky belt accent also adds fierce color to the black and white palette.

Our only issue with this ensemble is the leather watch on Cate’s left wrist — it looks totally out of place in this glamorous concoction.
