Self Portrait is a new fashion house we’ve been following avidly. The fledgling brand has a little over a year under its belt, but it has already dressed an army of fashion enthusiasts.

The brand’s almost instantaneous rise to fame is unsurprising if you look at its unique collections. The clothes boast a modern structure, construction, and silhouette but maintain the whimsical panache we expect from Self Portrait.

Take a look at this popular sheer lace dress:

This dress is so expertly crafted that it made instant fans out of some celebrities. It has been worn by several famous personalities, including these two:

1. Emily Taaffe styled the dress with a pair of black low-heeled sandals and a black clutch

2. Carmen Ejogo took inspiration from the dress’s collar and teamed it up with a pair of blue d’Orsay pumps

Who do you think wore the Self Portrait “Iris” dress better? The styling is similar, but we think Carmen pulled it off better.

The dress could have easily flattered Emily’s figure, but her haphazardly done hair and plain accessories downplayed the look. Meanwhile, the “Selma” actress did it right with the pop of colors and the clean coif.
