WWD and Variety’s very first Inaugural Stylemaker’s event aimed to fuse the fashion and entertainment industries.
They awarded seven important personalities, all working in the fashion and entertainment field, with accolades that left many of them in awe, particularly those who have been using to working behind the scenes.
As expected, the event rained style. There were only a few Hollywood celebrity guests who were instantly recognizable but they did manage to bring their own styles to the table. Tell us, who was best-dressed?
1. Kerry Washington’s Black & White Striped Look
The Scandal actress was once again leading the pack in her Saloni Spring 2016 striped ensemble that she wore with a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood “Chevron” striped pumps and Anita Ko diamond orbit earrings in rose gold.

While we adore the dress, we can’t help but think the shoes were too much for such a graphic look. A pair of black pumps would have made this outfit even more stunning.

2. Freida Pinto in Neon Yellow Dress
The 31-year-old brought the sunshine with her in this yellow Roksanda dress.

3. Kourtney Kardashian in Alice + Olivia

The tandem that looks like a one-piece outfit suited Kourtney but we felt like she’s a tad underdressed for such an event, even with those gorgeous Gianvitto Rossi pumps on.

4. Viola Davis in Beautiful White Dress
Viola Davis looked wonderful in a white fit and flare dress
The 50-year-old didn’t look her age in this white fit and flare dress that brought out her chocolate complexion. We also like her choice of footwear.

This could have been an easy win for Kerry but with that shoe misstep, we think Viola gave her a run for her money.
