Was trouble still brewing in paradise for our golden girl Ariana Grande right before she made the casual announcement about her split from The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes?

Most probably. The 20-year-old singer seemed to have lost her usual bright smile just days before the news broke out, as seen on her red carpet pictures at the recent Y100’s Jingle Ball in Miami.

She was joined by her grandparents, Italian-American retired soldier Frank Anthony Grande and his wife Marjorie “Nonna” M. Grande. They married on September 21, 1946, and are the parents of Ariana’s mother Joan Marguerite Grande.

The talented Nickelodeon lady looked somewhat amiss but still lovely in her full-skirted sweetheart dress by Zimmermann, which she paired with white pointed-toe pumps with metal details at the front.

Ariana kept her hair up in her usual side half-ponytail, showing off her lovely ombré tones. Her makeup consisted of heavy eyeliners, big lashes, and a soft rose lip color.

As with all things feminine, flirty, and voluminous, we give this sweetheart dress our nod of approval for its gorgeous sweetheart neckline, huge skirt, delicate V-back, and beautiful blue floral pattern.

While we’d love to see Ariana step out of her comfort zone (see description of her usual wear just before this sentence), we still think this dress merits well-deserved fashion points.

This dainty little dress is available at Saks Fifth Avenue.
